When Stephen was 18 years old, he went on a desperate search to find the purpose of his life. What started that journey was the feeling of hopelessness from what he loved being torn away from him. All he knew and cared about in High School was a martial art called Tae Kwon Do. That was his joy and my purpose in living, but as for his newly wedded stepfather, it was merely a narrow-minded child’s dream that would eventually fade away. So as a Korean-cultured son, he obeyed his wishes to study toward a stable career. As far as he knows, the ambitious and happy teenage boy’s life seemed finished at that point. However, it was in this darkness that the blessed hope reached past the gloom to ignite his heart. God gave him a new meaning and reason to live.
